Bug Boy®-Adventures of a SuperB Hero on His Day Off
Paint Dry ©2024 Amy D
First Panel- A panel covered in speech bubbles except for some slight color along the edges.
Cartoonist from above the panel: Come on! It's the holidays & they really expect me to draw a new strip? Why can't I just reuse an old strip? Everyone else gets the week off, why can’t I? This isn't fair!
Narrator: We find our Cartoonist clearly procrastinating.
Second Panel- Another panel covered in speech bubbles except for some slight color along the edges.
Cartoonist: And who’s even going to read this? They're all probably spending time with their families. Where I should be… Fine. I'll draw something.Let's just get this over with.
Narrator: It’s about time…
Final Panel: Bug Boy & Seymour are standing in the far corner of the kitchen of the Bug Bungalow. The doorway to the living room is behind them. Next to it is a cabinet with a menorah sitting on it. It has candles lit to signify the 4th night of Hanukkah. Bug Boy & Seymour are looking in the opposite direction at what appears to be a white wall with some green paint streaked across it. Seymour is holding a big bucket of popcorn while eating some. Bug Boy has his hand in the bucket about to grab some himself. Both of them look completely mesmerized.
Narrator: We finally find our heroes…watching paint dry?! Oh, yeah. THAT’S entertaining.
Bug Boy: You know, the color gets darker as it dries.
Seymour: I can't wait!
